In-person and online training for
Kids, Teens & Adults
Our “hybrid” model of teaching
In-person Karate Classes
In-person training has resumed! We are grateful to the owners of Aikido of Westchester for allowing us to use their dojo since the Summer. Our new training location is just a few blocks from where we were located pre-pandemic. In-person karate classes will be held at 100 Mamaroneck Avenue, 2nd Fl., White Plains, N.Y. 10601. A new schedule has been published allowing students to train in-person three times a week! Classes are small and every safety measure is taken.
Online classes and Private Lessons are offered three days a week. Our Fall 2021 schedule can be found on our Calendar page. Bushido Karate students should download the full schedule with clickable links to ZOOM classes. That can be accessed through the Memberships link on the My Account page.
Just the camraderie of training in the same space can be a comfort and support to fellow students.

Private Karate Lessons
Participating in an online Private Karate Lesson with Shihan Mehrkar is the ultimate in personal attention. Anyone can schedule a Private Karate Lesson, and for any reason.
Bushido Karate students can schedule a half-hour lesson to work on a specific technique, or for general review. Students with active Memberships will automatically receive a $5 discount.
Don’t have an active Bushido Karate membership? You don’t have to be a student of Bushido Karate to schedule a Private Karate Lesson. There could be many reasons –
- You’d prefer to learn the basics in a non-group setting
- Our Schedule for group lessons is not compatible with your own
- Interest in learning one particular aspect of Bushido Karate
- Kata, for excellent toning and conditioning
- Heavy-bag training, basic techniques to increase your heart rate
